Update!!! It is now December 31,2008 I still have not received my refund from Gina on my bag that was returned on October 9th. I understand she had surgery & was or is still having a problem with Paypal, but…..This is WAY to long for returning a customers money! I caution anyone to beware if your not happy with your bag & need a refund, you may be like me & not get it. I am out $185.
Beware!! First off Let me say that Gina got me the bag in time for a shoot I had planned but when it arrived I could not use it. The stitching was horrendous with holes in it that I could poke a finger through. Stitching did not even overlap the seams. There is no way I would put one of my spendy lens in it. Further more one of the straps was fraying & letting loose on arrival & would not have stayed for long. I returned it, & now my refund is has not gone through Paypal & I have contacted them via e-mail no response. The customer service seems as deplorable as the construction of the bag.
I will post an update if I get my refund, but feel I should post this just for others to be wary of.
Ok, here’s an update! I LOVE the bag!!! In the end, it totally lives up to the hype! Even though I did get frustrated with the wait, Gina went out of her way to make it right and get me my bag in time for a wedding. She’s great! And I can’t fault her for being extremely busy with orders…that’s fantastic for her and I wish her business all the best! I’m very happy with my purchase. I get lots of compliments on it as well. It’s great. Oh and the pockets are DEEP, I carried around a nikon 70-200 lens with hood attached, with no problem…oh and love, love the key clip…and finally, the hardware is just good quality! I shot with someone who had a Tracy Joy bag and the strap hardware didn’t even compare…
this bag has a lot to live up to. I ordered and paid for it in full 2 months ago and have yet to receive it! Everytime I contact Gina to get the status, she never responds and a second e-mail on my part is needed. I have been told for 2 months that some of the parts are on backorder. I understand that, but part of me feels like she shouldn’t be asking customers to pay, until the bags ship. I’m betting my bag would have shipped a lot sooner, if payment depended on it. Anyway, I just hope the bag lives up to the reviews…because the customer service certainly has not…
my PLW bag….. is AWESOME! it is so darn comfortable. I was worried the strap would dig into my shoulder, but the little padded strap cover really helps. my lenses are snug in the bag and it makes it so easy to change lenses. The quality is amazing! ***** 5 stars from me!
this bag is so awesome! I love mine. Well made, holds EVERYTHING, love the keys holder, which has been so handy….and it is snug and comfortable. I move so much quicker now and change lenses more often because this bag has made it a breeze! Service, Presentation was impeccable
Love my PLW bag!! The padded strap is great, and I love the retractable clip. This bag makes it super easy to access my lenses and accessories when out shooting. The customer service is great too!
I just got my bag and it is gorgeous but better than that it is very functional. I can’t believe all the stuff I was able to put in it. I have a bad habit of setting my camera bag down and then walking away from it. Now I can keep it with me.
I was worried that putting everything into it would make it heavy and bulky. I was very surprised. It didn’t dig into my shoulder and it hung snuggly against my hip.
The customer service was great also. She responded immediately to my questions.
My PLW bag has been even better than I expected. It is incredibly well made, and I was really impressed with the whole experience working with Gina. The bag was made quickly, arrived with a great presentation, and the design is so well planned. I especially love the smaller pockets on the front for my extra CF and batteries, the retractable light meter reel (though I use mine for my WhiBal card), and the detachable strap. My clients have even commented on how nice the bag looks. It’s comfy on my shoulder, and fits close to my body so I can move around easily while shooting. And it holds my 70-200 WITH the hood on - NICE!
I have not purchased Gina’s bag yet, BUT I used one over the weekend I saw a friend who has one. I am saving up to make this purchase now because all of my doubts have been washed away by the experience I had with the PLW. I was worried that I would feel like my camera and lenses were slipping out when I moved around and I NEVER felt that. I was worried it was going to not feel secure, but it felt great, everything was right where I needed it and at the end of the day I found my keys in seconds instead of the minutes it normally takes me. That alone makes this PLW bag a life saver!
The size was great, I was worried it was going to be too big, but it was not at all!
I look forward to purchasing my own because I was really sad to give it up after my day of testing!
No more lugging my big old camera bag on shoots now that I have my PLW. Love the cushioned strap so it doesn’t cut into my shoulder. I really like the ease of just opening my bag cover and getting my lenses or cards while wearing it. It holds my 70-200 with the lense hood which was why I went this bag over others like it out there. I agree with Kari above..its a very comfortable on my body. I have the 8 pocket one and its perfect! The quality is top notch and is very durable.
I must say the strong point of this company for me has been the customer service. Gina was very easy to work with and did an excellent job delivering my bag when I needed it. The quality of the bag is good. The extras are a nice perk and the size is just right.
I have had my bag for a bout a month or so. let me tell you.. it is soo dirty (all me not gina..lol) from all the work i have put it through and it still looks and wears awesome. I am getting some more covers made up for it too, i really can not say how much I LOVE this thing. it is perfect for those like me who are ALWAYS forgetting a lens or getting into tight spot and need a card/lens/meter or something!
I have had my PLW bag for a few weeks and I absolutely love it. I was surprised at how much is will hold confortuably. I love the design of it, and how well it fits to my body. I would highly recommend this bag, and Gina is great to work with.
